That is a very very long time to wait in order to see the proper end to the story line. Perhaps the only true complaint I have was that the story was not finished for 3 years. Overall, Age seems to have hit the right balance of absurdity and nuttiness, with characters that were all unique and pretty well developed once you started going down their individual scenarios. Muvluv Alternative would only see the light of day some three years later in Maafter numerous delays. They would be titled: “Extra”, “Unlimited” and “Alternative.” Of those three, only Extra and Unlimited were actually completed in time for the MuvLuv release in 2003. The design concept of Muvluv was that it was to be a three part series. Oddly (or not so oddly) enough, the interactions of all the cast actually work delightfully well and make them all lovable.

In strong contrast to Kiminozo’s very serious and generally adult-oriented feel, Muvluv is a high-school comedy, with a large cast of characters that each have some exaggerated trait that makes for all sorts of strange situations. A spoiler-laden synopsis-type thing is now available, here at the Muvluv Synopsis ProjectĪfter their success with Kimi ga Nozomu Eien, Age released Muvluv.

This is a spoiler-free/spoiler-light review/introduction to the game. “This was, a very small, a very large, a very precious, tale of love and courage.” – Muvluv tag line.ĭVD-Rom Edition: Apr. “Sore wa, totemo chiisana, totemo ookina, totemo taisetsuna, ai to yuuki no otogibanashi” Since then, I've changed it quite a bit, but it is kinda neat to see an actual official story dealing with such an event.Muvluv “Save in the name of true love” – Subtitle under Muvluv title logo “それは、とてもちいさな とてもおおきな とてもたいせつな あいとゆうきのおとぎばなし”
#Muv luv beta experiments series#
The idea of one of the peaceful realities being invaded is something that I've toyed with in a little side project I wanted to create (whenever I upload pictures titled "Slice-o-Life Fiction", they take place in a supposed reality where the story plays out differently.) I was considering actually turning that into a comic series and ending it with a BETA pod landing on Earth. I kinda got bored with Strike Frontier, but now I'm extremely excited for it again! Holy cow. For example, Daikuuji Ayu isn't there, but a Daikuhji Iyo is, and the Daikuhji family is apparently this powerful entity like the Mitsurugi family is in the main timeline. This peaceful reality, however, isn't the same as the KimiIta one Takeru comes from. So, instead of the BETA showing up in the mid 1900s, they show up in 2002 thanks to operation Cherry Blossom being a wee bit different. The thing that excited me was the concept of SF causing the BETA to be pushed into one of the peaceful realities. Well, this book deals with season 2 of SF. I was under the impression that Strike Frontier was non-canon, but since the KimiIta series functions off of a multiverse, I suppose that anything could be canon in its own reality. You can find the scans of the book in a few places (one of which being exhentai, and they seem to be the best at getting things like this uploaded).įor those of you who play Strike Frontier, this book is pretty interesting. So, it took a while to actually get this, but the book is interesting! Instead of hinting at future main series games, it is more of a teaser for something that I was actually kinda hoping for.
